Transfer passengers are passengers who:

• have arrived in a respective airport (point) of transfer;
• have a confirmed or requested reservation for a respective flight of a certain carrier.

The maximum time of stay in a point of transfer shall not exceed 24 hours.

Transfer passengers can get information on servicing from the agencies selling tickets for flights of the united aviation enterprise and from representative offices. On board the aircraft, prior to landing at the Pulkovo airport, the steward shall inform the passengers on the services provided to transfer passengers at the airport.  

Special personnel shall be engaged in the servicing of transfer passengers at the airport – they shall render assistance and provide necessary information on ground servicing of transfer passengers at the Pulkovo airport. If you need any extra data on anything related to continuation of the flight or need transportation between the terminals, feel free to ask a worker behind the "Information. Transfer" counter.

The "Information. Transfer" counter of the Pulkovo-1 terminal is situated on the first floor, sector B, the central part of the airport complex. The "Information. Transfer" counter of the Pulkovo-2 terminal is situated in the "Arrival" pavilion, behind the passengers and baggage customs clearance area. If your flight continues from the Pulkovo-2 terminal, all necessary information will be provided to you at the "Transit" counter which is situated in the gallery of the first floor of the waiting area near the boarding exits.

The following services are provided to passengers of transfer flights at the Pulkovo airport:

• The Pulkovo airport provides free transportation of transfer passengers and their baggage between the Pulkovo-1 and Pulkovo-2 terminals irrespective of the carrier airlines, if arrival in St. Petersburg and departure by a connecting flight take place in different terminals of the airport.
• Hotel services are provided to transfer passengers in the nighttime only and on condition that reservation of such a service has been confirmed. Payment for accommodation and stay at a hotel shall be effected in compliance with the contract of transportation with STC Russia. You may get more detailed information on provision of hotel services from an air ticket sale agency (or a representative office of the airlines), having familiarized yourself with transfer carriage terms according to the respective fare. Hotel services are provided, if a connecting flight departs in more than 8 hours in the nighttime.
• On international lines, a through check-in shall be used at the airport of departure to the point of destination of an international transfer carriage. A passenger shall receive his/her baggage at the airport of destination, not at the airport of transfer, however, such practice may be applied only when the time between the connecting flights does not exceed 24 hours. On domestic lines, transfer baggage is also delivered from the starting point of departure, where there is a representative office of the airlines, to the point of destination.

Note

Passengers must receive baggage and undergo customs clearance, if arrival in St. Petersburg and departure from St. Petersburg by an international connecting flight take place in different terminals.
